Honoring the traditions of the Monacan Indian Nation, the Monacan Powwow is an annual event usually held the third weekend in May. The goal of the event is to educate families about the tribe’s culture and history in Central Virginia.


The Monacan powwow includes special performances by Native American Singers and dancers from across North America. Featuring Native American crafts and food.

Adults – $10
Seniors & age 5 to 12 -$5
Children under 5 enter for free
