The Amherst Depot Pollinator Garden was created by the Hill City Master Gardeners in partnership with the Virginia Extension Service. The garden is home to several pollinator types – moths, bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies, including the Monarch.

Pollinator gardens are essential to the health of our ecosystem.

According to the USDA pollinators, most often honey bees, are responsible for one in every three bites of food we take, and increase our nation’s crop values each year by more than $15 billion.

Garden Tours are offered most Saturday afternoons. For more information, please call 434.946.0990 or email info@visitamherstcounty.org
